Technically, I've heard of NaNoWriMo, but I voted that I didn't know what it is because I don't know how it works. All I know is that you write a whole lot... in one month? So, tell me, what's it all about? And have you done this challenge before?

Yeah, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. You try to write a 50,000 word novella during the month of November.

This is my third attempt, though I've always failed miserably! I've never gotten past 6 K.

Fun times : D I'm writing urban fantasy. Kind of. I'm not entirely sure yet, I really should get my plot hammered out today since I have a bunch of free time until Halloween tonight.

Yeah, I have no idea what I'm writing, still. Well, I sort of do since it's a rewrite of a fic I wrote ages ago, but when I write I usually make it up as I go along.

Ugh, I hear you there. I wrote 200 words today. I fail! :(

Do you have aim? People host writing sprints on aim, so you can join one of those chat groups and have little competitions to see who can write the most in a certain time period. I find it helps a lot!

Also there is the community nanowrimo which helps, too. And if you ever want to bitch, feel free to PM me. :D
