Dear readers,
I'm sorry I haven't updated any of my stories since November. I really am. I'm quite aware of the fact and I hate it and man I wish I could update every day. But I can't control writer's block, I can't control that I don't have the energy to write, I can't control the fact that I have things going on in my life that makes it so that sometimes, I don't even WANT to write.
I miss writing a lot. What you don't seem to get is that flaming me? Yeah, it honestly doesn't help. My hiatus from the Harry Potter fandom almost two years ago when I read and despised the last two books wouldn't have gone on quite as long if some idiot hadn't tried to blackmail me into writing. Want to know what occasionally works to get that writing spark to spark again? Amazing reviews. That's why when I usually write a review or a message to someone to get them to update, I usually include a gentle reminder they haven't updated, a ton of compliments, and the fact that I understand about RL and things getting in the way. It's even worked a few times!
But leaving me reviews such as the ones I've mentioned in the past or my newest, csn't cha hurry up already?, doesn't make me want to write.
Love,
Sophie

Date: 2009-04-27 03:26 am (UTC)I mean, I know it sucks to not have stories updated (I have 2 unfinished ones at the moment...), but as far as I'm concerned, we're lucky to have anything at all. Deal with it. What if someone is sick, or dealing with a lot of stress, or in the middle of a life crisis, or has extreme writer's block, or doesn't like the fandom any longer? No fanfic writer owes anyone anything. Life is FAR more important that some fan-written stories. Ugh! Annoying...:P
