First off, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE! I love you all, lots! *sends hugs and chocolates out to everyone*
Today was great. I found a gift certificate for this music store near our house from 2 Hanukkahs ago, and I went today with my mom. I was planning to buy season 8 of Friends since they have this nice used DVDs and movies section, but unfortunately they didn't have it. I sort of looked around trying to see if I could find anything good, and I was thinking, "Hmmm, they probably don't have Angel" . Of course, it was right then when I found two seasons of it! I picked it up and went to my mom and babbled nonsense for a few minutes until she got annoyed, and then I asked her if, even though I only have enough money for one, I could buy both. She sighed and said, "I guess so" and then we went to the cash register. She started asking me questions, and by then I feel like I'm going to burst and I'm finding it hard not to just start jumping up and down. Mom doesn't really buy me TV show DVDs because she's convinced that I'm going to lose interest in everything, just like I did with Harry Potter. Our conversation went something like this:
"So, does he turn into a vampire?"
"He already is a vampire"
"He's cute!"
"Yeah, he is"
"Is she a vampire too?" (pointing to Cordy)
"No"
"Does he want to bite her?"
"Yes, but he doesn't because he has a soul. Well, sometimes he loses it, but mostly he has one. This show was done by Joss Whedon, the guy who did Firefly."
"Oh, I like that show!"
Now I don't have to deal with crappy online episodes with Chinese subtitles!
*is happy*
ETA: My mom's boyfriend came over just now, and he loves Firefly (has it on DVD) and is now watching Dr. Horrible, so then we started talking about it. It was pretty awesome.
