Batch #2 answers (short because I have to be somewhere soon)

[livejournal.com profile] borg_princess  asked about my favorite ships and why I love them.

5.  Mulder/Scully

First ship ever, ok? Even when I was six years old and watching the show, while I pretended to be all grossed out for my family's sake, secretly I really wanted them to get together and kiss. Favorite thing about it is how slowly it progressed. It felt so natural and it wasn't a total "WILL THEY OR WON'T THEY" thing, it was about their friendship just as much as their romantic relationship. It just felt right.

4. Arthur/Morgana

I love Arthur/Morgana in all versions, but since most of you are Merlin watchers, I'll mostly talk about it in that context. Their relationship is just SO EPIC. The love-hate relationship that's mostly love, the manipulations, how much she risks to save him, "I would give up my throne to save her", etc. In a lot of versions of legend she was his enemy, but it's she who ends up taking him to Avalon to heal. I've always thought that it was a great shame that they abandoned the relationship in the show because of how much chemistry Bradley and Katie have, among other things.

3. Harry/Hermione

My #3 and my #4 switch around a lot, but right now this is ahead (mostly because it is SO HARD to find Armor stuff these days while the HHR fandom is still pretty active). These two are adorable. I love that she saw him as HIM and not just as the boy who lived, and how much she stayed by his side, even when nobody else was there. She believed him when his name was drawn out of the goblet, she spent hours teaching him spells and studying with him, went with him to the DoM even though she KNEW it was a trap, stayed with him in that tent, and so much more. This was the first ship I ever participated in fandom for, and it still gives me such warm fuzzies.

2. Doctor/Rose

It's amazing how fast this ship grew on me to become my #2. I love how goofy they are around each other, how he made her realize how much good she can do and how she made him see that he's not such a monster. I love how much she fought to get back to his side (always!) and how much her loss from his life affected him. I love that even when she wasn't in the show anymore, Doctor Who was still very much a love story between them.

1. Angel/Cordelia

Angel/Cordelia. I LOVE THIS SHIP SO MUCH! Favorite of all time. I love it because they bring out the best in each other, she makes him laugh while he made her a bit more serious. And then they have that whole friendship to love thing that I am SUCH A SUCKER FOR. In the end she sacrificed her life to bring her man back on track ♥

I KNOW! The movies are so delightfully shippy, too. I can't wait to see what they do next movie, though I doubt it'll beat the dance.

This might be my favorite thing about them! RTD's Who, for me, was more Rose/Doctor's love story than anything else.

LOL, editing to change the icon because I first hit on Dawson's Creek instead of Doctor Who! :D

YES! I love it because if it had been an American show, they would have forgotten about her pretty soon after. It'd have been all, "ROSE WHO?"

Nice icon!

Whee, I share 4/5 ships! (I didn't watch Angel, so)

Mulder/Scully was my first 'serious' ship (as a kid, I shipped Xena/Hercules, but that was in a childish way, lol).

Arthur/Morgana was my first ship in Merlin (I'm on my third, after A/Mor and Uther/Morgana were DESTROYED)

A lot of firsts here, actually, H/Hr was my first HP ship, when I grew up reading the books, I was rooting for them. <3

And Doctor/Rose is my first and only DW ship. ♥ SFM, I'm still heartbroken at how it ended up, tbh.

Scully/Mulder = mothership of all ships. the. end.

I'm not that big a fan of 10/rose. more of a 9/rose shipper. but yes. valid points you make there.

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG! ARTHUR/MORGANA!!!! ETERNAL STRUGGLES AND LOVE AND LIFE AND POLITICS AND FORCES AND DESTINY AND GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH I CANNOT. and what a waste of chemistry between Katie/Bradley. they're so steamy i could cook my buttered broccoli over their heads. and they would like it. i was so disappointed in the lack of grey merlin took after the first series... like... WHY? so not fair.

the kids and cordy/angel!!! i love those 'they make each other better' ships. be still my heart. OH. OH! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! *dies* icannotrightnow. you killed me. can't. sentence. properly. *cuddles all her ~feelings* *weeping*

I'm also into Arthur/Morgana!

I've always been canon in HP romance, but I read one Hr/H fic that I really loved by one of my HIH- LJ friends! http://calandredetoile.livejournal.com/325.html#cutid1
