It took me a little while to warm up to Bradley James, but I actually love him SO SO MUCH that I want to have his babies. Like, NOW! ;D Arthur's a great character. He goes through a lot of great growth and development this season. I'm excited for you to watch :D
As to what my main ships are, they are as follows:
1. Merlin/Arthur (duh! ;)) 2. Merlin/Morgana 3. Uther/Morgana (SO MY GUILTY PLEASURE!!!) 4. Leon/Morgana (who you don't know yet...and it's a pretty silly ship since they never even talk, but I still enjoy the idea of it anyway, LOL!) 5. Gwen/Lancelot
I'm also cool with: Merlin/Gwen, Arthur/Morgana, and Gwen/Morgana.
There is only one ship I despise beyond belief, but I won't share it with you so as not to bias you (hehe!). Just, uh, don't go reading any of my journal entries about Merlin for this current season, LMAO ;)
The really fun thing about this show is that it's such a great multi-ship show! Most people ship many pairings. (Most also predominantly ship M/A, but everyone is incredibly nice and friendly and it's mostly a very happy, peaceful fandom without much wank!) :D
