I have yet to read Twilight, and I have mixed feelings about doing so... I know people who worship it like crazy, and then others who hate it almost as much as I hate HBP. I'll probably end up reading it because some of my friends are bound to drag me to the movie, but we'll see...
As for your fandom squee, I found that really hilarious because while I'm not an Emily Deschanel fan (I had to watch Bones for a few weeks for a school project back in sophomore year (wow, was that really a year and a half ago?), but I never really got into it), I am a HUGE SVU fan (you should see my DVR...I have about twenty episodes waiting to be watched).
I'm so sorry about you getting sick! I just got over a cold (which came RIGHT in time for exams and SAT IIs - yuck!), so I can sort of sympathize with you. It sounds like it was way worse for you, though, and I hope you get better soon.
