WARNING: spoilers for the finale are found beneath the cut, so if you haven't seen, don't read! Also contains swearing.

Wow, I'm still in shock. I can't believe it. Especially because only today my friend who is watching the show and is in the second season, told me that she loved Zach. I said, "I know. Isn't he great?"

And I know a lot of people are going to hate me for this but what the fuck was up with this episode? The writing was almost painful to watch, there were a lot of loopholes and inconsistencies (for example, is it just my imagination or are Zach's family still alive and in Michigan? Not to mention that Zach, if I remember correctly, was involved when the first apprentice was around and all that, so he should have known better than to fall for Gormagon's shit!), and I think they really should have given this a two hour finale thing. Because seriously, if you are going to make someone like Zach a killer and almost cannibal (because while he didn't actually DO any of the eating, he still helped provide the meat) then you are going to have to give us a bit more than the bullshit they gave us. You have to make us convinced! Like how Buffy made it reasonable that knights were attacking the RV in season 5, not to mention a whole bunch of other stuff.

Like Cam said, "I did not see that coming." I don't see Zach as a killer, and I still don't. I guess it's sort of like Sweets' thing at the trial about the dangers of the over-rational beings (speaking of which, despite who plays him, Sweets is seriously getting on my nerves!) The fact that it wasn't because Eric wanted to leave but because it was drama factor makes me even more pissed off. It's one thing if the actor wants to leave and so they try to work that in. the problem is that the squint squad isn't the same without him. The show isn't the same without him. I think it's the same of all the Squints (Booth included of course) because we really need all of them to feel complete.

I did like the first part though, especially with Brennan hitting Booth with the mannequin's arm, I liked the pie thing, everyone's acting was just BRILLIANT (I almost cried at the last scene), and I love how everyone treated Zach at the hospital. They really did love him. And when the credits rolled on, all I could think was: no more king of the lab competitions, no more acting out the murder scenes with Hodgins, no more Zach. Now watching reruns of the other episodes is going to be ruined for me, knowing what I know about Zach. I think that when I write fanfiction, I will ignore the finale and make Zach live forever in fanfiction.

An overall thought of the season: season one was awesome, season two was awesome, and season three, other than a few exceptions, really left me feeling empty. I think overall this season was a failure. I just hope it won't ruin the next season too much, because I really do love this show, and I have only just recovered from not liking Harry Potter anymore. It's painful leaving a fandom of which you have been a part of for so long, and Bones helped that recovery. I guess maybe that's the danger of obsessing over something, because when it goes downhill, it hurts really hard. Maybe a ton of people are right, maybe I am too picky, maybe I hate too easily, maybe I am too hard to please. Hopefully this will be one of those things where you hate it at first and then it sinks in and you really love it. Who knows?

I will probably post again later since I'm still feeling restless and I still feel like I have a lot to say, but I think this has gotten long enough for now. What did you all think of the finale?
