Also, just wanted to mention that if you enjoy soup, but live somewhere too hot to really to partake of hot soup, there are a variety of cold soups that are quite enjoyable, usually fruit-based. Off the top of my head, I know there's a strawberry one that's quite good but I'm sure Google can provide some different recipes :P
