Well, Ron is sort of clueless about relationships in general so I guess that his reaction would be along the lines of "What?" :P Also, I think he would be apprehensive about it at first.
What I hate is the endless Ron beats Hermione so she has to find comfort in Harry's arms fics, WTF is up with those? First off, it's a discredit to Hermione to assume she'd stay in an abusive relationship, and same to Harry who has to be aware of that and yet says/does nothing. Then we have abusive!Ron, which is so many kinds of OOC.
I think it would have been more relalistic if the Epilogue had been longer and explained things. If JKR was set in making Ron/Hermione happen, then she needed to make it believable past a High School romance. Same goes for Harry/Hermione, Harry/Ginny and any other Hogwarts based pairing. A relationship takes work, it will get ugly at points, and it won't always work out. I'm not saying they didn't stand a chance, but it's so WEIRD that she had everyone from Harry's year hook up with each other. If so, move over Match.com... Hogwarts is where it's at!
