I'm doing pretty well! Though I think this might be my last year for a while. I've done it 4 years now and 1. I get really exhausted (I've been sick with a cold the past week which makes me not want to write) 2. I end up either never opening/finishing the novel I started because I don't even want to know what I was on half the time, or if I do, then I get so overwhelmed by all the editing I have to do that I never do it.

Not to mention that NaNoWriMo was more fun in the past. Even years where I failed miserably, the whole environment was so much fun that honestly, I didn't care. So next year I might take it off. After that, who knows? I know that the college I want to go to has nice group NaNoWriMo writing sessions so if I end up going there, maybe I'll do that.

I have the next week off, so I'll do a lot of writing then.

How is everyone else doing?

YAY!!1 YOU GOT LOTS OF WORDS WRITTEN!! theres no way in hell i could ever get that far. i am a reader not a writer. speaking of which i would be glad to test read for you!
oh my god have you seen hp 7? i was sick but i went to the midnight showing and it was awesome! it would have of course been more fun with someone like.. you but it was pretty good.

you're kicking MY butt in nanowrimo (I'm tracyfisher over there- writing buddies??) but I am pleading "I have an infant!" in defense of my low word count. :)

My problem is that I usually fall out of love with my characters after a few pages or so and then I never want to write about them after that. blllaaaah. But it's a good exercise to get me writing at least once a year :)

Yeah, I've come to the conclusion that NaNo's not for me, for a lot of the reasons you list. I'd rather take my time, so I don't end up with such a mess at the end!

I'm more of a reader than a writer and I always admire people who take part in such challenges!
