Once again snagged from
xlivvielockex
1. The first character I fell in love with
Fox Mulder (X-Files) I used to watch this show all the time when I was little. It scared the shit out of me (and still does sometimes) but I loved Mulder and Scully (the characters and the pairing) even when I was 5. I just had to watch this show with someone so I could snuggle them during the scary parts.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Uhh, wow, this is a hard one. I guess Tara. Tara is one of my favorite characters from Buffy, but when I first started out, I just had the feeling she was going to turn out evil. Maybe it was because when she and Willow did their first spell together she made sure it didn't work on purpose. But now I know it is because she wanted Willow to keep coming back for more and she was scared it wouldn't happen. I love her personality, I love how she isn't incredibly skinny (sad, but it's getting harder to find normal sized or a little bigger female characters that are really cool)
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter. A lot of people seem to like her, and she was tolerable enough books 1-5. But the thing is, she's a total bitch! Making fun of Fleur by calling her Phlegm, doing Bat Bogey hexes (or whatever they are called) whenever something isn't going her way, so on so forth.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Peter Pettigrew. Now, I don't like him a lot, but I like him a little more than most people. Enough to write a one-shot about him. I think I just sort of understand him more.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Ron Weasley from Harry Potter. Again, I really liked him the first few books. But later on he just got more unlikeable. He constantly fights with at least one of his friends and isn't willing to apologize or compromise or anything. He just gives them the silent treatment until something happens to put him back together with his other friends.
6. The character I'd want to be like
Temperance Brennan. She's so smart and doesn't take shit from anyone. She's opinionated and always says what she thinks. She can also defend herself and is good with a gun, she isn't all "ewww, dead bodies", she has an awesome best friend (Angela) and partner (Booth) and all the squints she works with are really cool. Plus, she writes books. Sure, Brennan has her problems, but overall she is an awesome character.
7. The character I'd slap
There are a TON. Probably Dawn. I don't hate her that much and honestly a lot of the time I feel sorry for her. Plus, being a teenager myself I can relate to her a lot of the time. But sometimes I just want to give her a good slap. Like in season 6 I wanted to tell her, "Dude, your sister almost got raped and has to work for a job she hates and tries to do her best to support you, and even dropped out of college to do it, and basically has to be a mom at the age of 21. And yet all you do is moan about how she doesn't spend enough time with you or how she hates you and how all alone you are and everything like that." Or Ginny for above reasons. Or Ron. Or Bella and Edward from Twilight.
8. A pairing that I love
Booth/Brennan, Mulder/Scully, Angel/Cordelia, Willow/Tara, basically everything else for BTVS, Angela/Hodgins, Harry/Hermione, House/Cuddy, and a ton more. I have so many ships that when asked to tell them all I draw blanks. I can't help but ship when I watch or read something.
9. A pairing that I despise
Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, incest, or self/self pairings. Most I can tolerate pretty well. That's all I can think of right now, though I'll probably think of more.
